A detailed account of life in the State Correctional Facility at Attica from the perspective of an inmate. Dalou Gonzalez was frank and open in discussing the conditions that attributed to the bloody uprising in September 1971. In addition, he comments on changes made thereafter which were perceived to have been only cosmetic.
